Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education
The baccalaureate degree programs in nursing at Brookline College, Eagle Gate College, Provo College, and Unitek College are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org/). The master’s degree program in nursing at Eagle Gate College in Murray, Utah; Boise, Idaho; and Idaho Falls, Idaho; is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org).
Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges
Unitek College’s campuses in Fremont, Hayward, San Jose, Sacramento, Concord, South San Francisco, Bakersfield, and Reno are accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), a recognized accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education. The Reno, San Jose, Sacramento, Bakersfield and Concord campuses are recognized by ACCSC as accredited branches of the Fremont main campus. The South San Francisco campus is recognized by ACCSC as an accredited branch of the Hayward main campus.

Brookline College, Eagle Gate College, and Provo College are accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools. ABHES provides Provo College accreditation for the delivery of diploma, Associate of Science Degree and Baccalaureate level degree programs. The Brookline College Tempe campus has programmatic accreditation for its Surgical Technology program by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). The associate-degree-level occupational therapy assistant program has applied for accreditation and has been granted Candidacy Status by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), located at 7501 Wisconsin Avenue, Ste. 510E, Bethesda, M.D. 20814. The program must have a pre-accreditation review, complete an on-site evaluation, and be granted Accreditation Status before its graduates will be qualified to sit for the national certification examination for the occupational therapy assistant administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). After successful completion of this exam, the individual will be a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). In addition, all states require licensure in order to practice; however, state licenses are usually based on the results of the NBCOT Certification Examination. Note that a felony conviction may affect a graduate’s ability to sit for the NBCOT certification examination or attain state licensure.
